Wildlife watchpoint
What a location and a great place to spend time watching the Choughs and other wildlife. The white building is the most southerly point in Britain and home of the National Trusts ‘Wildlife watch point.. I an very please to have the most southerly wall to display my work. Come and meet the band of volunteers and learn about the wildlife of the area
My new studio/ gallery Lizard point, Cornwall
The Studio
The oldest building on the point was used for storage when before the lifeboat station was built 1914. The National trust is refurbishing it keeping as much of the original stone and brickwork as possible. There will be 3 windows reinstated for lots of natural light.
People, art, nature
But the studio will be much more than just a place to paint. Building on the the project to connect children with nature at Little Harbour children’s hospice in Cornwall (A Robin’s song) I was humbled by the support and encouragement, from artists and others, to take this further by.
I will be inviting artists to apply who are inspired by Nature and the landscape to take short residencies to connect visitors to the Natural world through their art.
I hope we can develop this to other areas and projects in the future and support NGO’s and individuals by connecting people with Nature through our art.
