Many years ago I started travelling with my brother, and Lizzie just backpacking and a pin in the map , although warm places were always the favourite. This was before mobile phones and easy communications when a book and a brief encounter dictated where you went. There was always a shortage of field guides until the 90s just when I stopped painting commercially and painted for pleasure for example my travel sketches. Just a few samples and more in the future
