Home Originals Commisions Bits n bobs About

Wildlife artist

I am inspired by the wildlife and landscape around me and being based on the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall there is no shortage of subject matter. I prefer to sketch and observe direct from life and if necessary ‘work them up’ in my studio in Helston. I can also call up on my experience of living throughout the UK and travelling to many countries but I prefer to have my subject close by if possible.

I enjoy experimenting and feel different mediums and styles suit different subjects and locations

I hope you enjoy my work, please leave feedback and join my mailing list.

To experiment is to keep you flexible in your approach and yes there is a certain ‘style’ that you continue and be  recognised for. In 1991 I stopped painting commercially and just sketched my travels for 10 years I believe this helped me develop artistically and these sketches I love to look back on, better than any photo
