  Artists comment :

It took 2 years to complete this painting because I could not decide on the background and foreground and nothing stood out to me until I saw this miniature Crab apple tree at Trevano gardens. Little Owls are uncommon in Cornwall but when I lived in Devon we had a resident pair around the house.
